DETAILS: Le Guérandais Guérande Salt is produced by the ocean, sun and wind and is hand-harvested by salt workers in Brittany France, using skills and a method that are over a thousand years old.
Unlike refined industrial salts, Le Guérandais Guérande Salt
does not undergo any form of washing or chemical treatment, and nothing is added (anti-caking agent, flow improvement agent, fluorine, iodine or nitrite).
Le Guérandais Guérande Salt is an organic sea salt, 100% natural, and is simply sorted and sieved to ensure that consumers are offered consistent quality.
This high quality, unrefined sea salt remains slightly damp due to its naturally high magnesium content a water loving mineral. It is also naturally high in iron and calcium as well as containing a vast amount of valuable trace minerals necessary for human health. The grey colour is the normal appearance for real sea salt, but we have become accustomed to bleached white salt that has had all of its additional minerals removed except for sodium and chloride. This salt has many beneficial effects upon our health. Dr Jacques De Langre studied the effects of unprocessed sea salt for many years and promoted their health benefits freely, including:
