What 's the real deal with probiotic drinks?

The BBC news reported on 15th April 2010 a significant shift from the manufacturer of two of the UK's leading probiotic yoghurt products, Danone. The news report read:

Are celebrity chef's selling out?

In the UK we have truly endorsed the celebrity chef and enjoy their regular TV offerings. They teach us about the importance of food, ethically produced and of good quality. They have impressive culinary skills and can whip up the most satisfying and tasty food. However, many of these chef's have also entered into advertising contracts to help promote foods, food brands and supermarkets.

DNA Diets

Recent conversations and genealogy work got me thinking about my ancestors diet and lifestyle. Mine are from Annacoty, Limerick Ireland.They were farmers - music to my ears! I've always felt that food isn't "one size fits all", some people can eat a lot of carbs and never put on weight, others just eat a slice of bread and are instantly bloated.
